Neeve Kearny

Neeve Kearny is the daughter of Renata and Myles Kearny. She is a fashion designer and owner of Neeve's Place, a successful fashion boutique. Ethel Lambston is one of Neeve's special customers. When Neeve cannot contact Ethel in order to deliver her latest clothing purchase, Neeve begins to suspect that something is wrong with her customer. Even before others, Neeve begins to put together the clues in Ethel's disappearance. In the first chapter, Ethel's killer realizes that he has made a major error in covering up Ethel's murder that Neeve will pick up on. It is at the conclusion of the novel that Anthony della Salva, whom Neeve has known all of her life as "Uncle Sal" tells Neeve that he must kill her because he realizes that she will eventually realizes that he was the one who killed Ethel.
