Chapter Nineteen Summary

Cullen, Lucas, and Mena go out to Burke's Burger Box for burgers, and for the second time only, Mr. Burke leans over their table and tells them that their meal is paid for. Lucas and Cullen are playing basketball when Lucas announces he'll likely marry Mena, telling Cullen that of course, he would be his best man. When it came to having children though, he tells Cullen that Gabriel would be their godfather as he is much more responsible. Cullen smiles, realizes that Lucas had just talked about Gabriel with confidence that he would be there to take part in life ahead. The whole idea makes him smile. The next morning, Cullen suggests they take one of Merle's Famous Lazarus Boat Tours. Lucas is surprised, especially given Cullen's attitude when Lucas had signed him up for the last Lazarus event.
