Chapter Fifteen Summary
Aunt Julia seldom leaves the house after Oslo's death. Where at one time Aunt Julia would have stopped in regularly to visit, now Cullen's mother made daily visits to her, usually bringing food with her to ensure that Aunt Julia was eating. One Saturday, Cullen is asked to make the daily visit to Aunt Julia and he reluctantly goes. When Cullen gets home, Lucas informs him that John Barling finally managed to get a photo of the Lazarus woodpecker, to be unveiled at the following weekend's festival. Cullen has news as well, telling Lucas that he had called Ted that morning and quit his job. Now, he's hoping that Ada will come by. Lucas tells him that Ada is at Russell's. Barling can be heard leaving early each morning and Fulton is so sick of him that he is almost ready...
