Chapters Nine-Ten Summary

Chapter Nine. Smith leads Schaffer, Mary, Jones, and the three traitors to the castle's Radio Room. The radio operator sees them open the door and is able to trigger an alarm before Smith can knock him out. Running to the hall Smith smashes the ringing alarm bell with the butt of his pistol. Smith has Mary and Jones guard the prisoners while Schaffer watches the hallway. He then uses the radio to contact London. He gets through to Admiral Rolland and tells him that he has everything they came for, and then says he needs another hour. Rolland says that he has it, and Smith destroys the radio. German soldiers arrive in the hallway outside and as Schaffer holds them off, Smith has everyone else get into a closet at the rear of the room. He then opens a window, secures...
