Summary
In Chapter 10, Lily meets Joe, the quiet man at the library’s front desk. He tells her that Halmoni has a great impact in the town, which shocks her. Jensen, a teenaged girl who works at the library, then takes Lily under her wing to give her a short tour, taking her to the staff room where she tutors kids and where Joe keeps the cupcakes he bakes. Lily tries one and is so impressed she suggests Joe sell them. When exploring books about tigers – none of which seems helpful to her – Lily spots a flash of black and orange which she takes to be the same tiger she saw previously. She chases the flash of color to find that there is no tiger, only a boy.
