Chapters 46-55 Summary
In chapter forty-six, Miranda finds herself thinking about the notes, all of them, as she waits for her mother to return from the hospital.
In chapter forty-seven, Miranda visits Sal at home after the accident. Sal explains to her that he wanted to take a break from their friendship because she was his only friend and he wanted some more friends, hopefully male friends. They decide it is okay to be friends again, just not exclusively.
In chapter forty-eight, Miranda is working in the main office again when two cops showed up, wanting to talk to Marcus. Miranda quickly calls her mother and gets Marcus from class, hiding in the dentist's office until her mother can convince the police that Marcus did nothing wrong.
In chapter forty-nine, the postcard comes from The $20,000 Pyramid, fulfilling the last of the note writer's information...
