Chapters 13-20 Summary

In chapter thirteen, Miranda's mother practices the speed round again and does well.

In chapter fourteen, Miranda volunteers to help in the office. Miranda is assigned to get the kids with dentist appointments out of class and take them to the dentist's office at the back of the school. One of the kids on the list is a boy named Marcus, who turns out to be the boy who punched Sal. Miranda talks to him for a few minutes and he asks about the book she is always carrying around. It is a book about time travel. Marcus suggests that time travel might be possible.
