Summary
In "Monkey Business," Jack "hung around the zoo after his hours were through" (221). He was anxious to hear if Clive had talked to Two. The next day, with no sign of Clive, Jack "visited the monkey cages" (222). He encountered a young boy named Ken. He told Ken he would pay him if he unleashed one of the monkeys in the women's dormitory or dining hall. Ken agreed. When the monkey was loose, Two stopped Ken with her crutch, threatening to shoot him. Ken said Jack had paid him to play the prank. When security heard what happened, they promised to fire Jack.
In "Jack Flees," Jack got fired. While the monkey was loose, he had snuck into Two's room and stolen "her kerchief, a red paisley bandana" (231). Little Elk watched him do it. Furious with Jack, Little Elk...
