Part 1, Natal: Chapters 28-30 Summary

The next morning when they see the dome of Isandhlwana, Mbejane says there have been no patrols, and no smoke. Sean looks up, startled to see a large wheel in the sky. The vultures are so plentiful, it is difficult to distinguish one from the other as the fly in a slow circle above the camp. Sean runs and as he gets close his worst fears are realized.
