Summary

Sydney wakes from a nightmare about demons “banging and scratching” in her walls (152). She calls her lawyers, Gladstone and Gianetti, but they refuse to help Sydney resolve Yolanda’s expenses. The doorbell rings and a man in a utility uniform claims he needs to check the meter in her house, but Sydney notices the man’s name tag says Drew. Theo intervenes, claiming he and Sydney have plans, so Drew leaves in an unmarked white van.
Theo tells Sydney what he saw in Mr. Perkins’ window the previous night. The pair goes to check on Mr. Perkins, but his tenant, Melissa, claims Mr. Perkins’ daughter took him to the hospital. Sydney is suspicious because Mr. Perkins’ daughter lives in Washington...
