Summary

Chapter 12 begins with Luke dreaming of frosting a cake. He gave Natalie the spoon to lick and kissed her. She went to get the door and he told her not to leave him. He was awoken by May telling him that the guests for her party had arrived. Annie walked in and noticed the letter lying on Luke’s chest from Natalie. She offered to help him frost the rest of May’s cake which he had only half done. While Luke tied Annie’s apron, Brian came in and kissed Annie. Luke noticed Annie’s head jerked back while Brian was kissing her. Luke felt jealous, telling himself it was because he missed Natalie. While Annie frosted May’s cake, Brian took Luke aside and asked him if he would be a reference for a job he had applied for in private security...
