Summary

Chapter 9 begins with Will questioning Luke over the envelope. Luke told Will that he had found a branch of the adoption agency in Kalamazoo. Will recognizes that this was close to where his mother had grown up. Luke told Will he would visit the agency tomorrow and rejected Will’s ideas of coming along. Luke knew that Will was his son but did not understand Natalie’s secrecy. The next day Luke went to the agency, Maranatha Family Services. He talked to a woman, Ms. Stephani, showing her a picture of his wife and trying to find out information. He told her his wife was now dead and about his son’s discovery of the envelope.
