Summary

In Chapter 11, "October 2018," Noelle received a call from Nelson. When she picked up, she overheard Nelson having sex with Jemima and realized the call had been a mistake. She called him back repeatedly. Finally he picked up. She told him what she had heard. They argued.

Noelle talked to Diane, confessing all that had been troubling her. Then she “let Diane hold her" (209). The sisters talked about their lives, their pasts, and their former hopes.
