Chapters 55 and 56 Summary

In Chapter 55, Amy mentions to Gilbert that the kids left the party fast, before the ending time of the party. Amy also tells Gilbert that Arnie wants to eat at Burger Barn for his birthday dinner and that Gilbert has to go. When they arrive at Burger Barn, Tucker has reserved a special area for the Grape family and provides an employee to take their order so they don't have to wait in line. Tucker also announces the birthday over the loud speaker, brings out a cow-shaped cake and the whole place sings Happy Birthday to Arnie.

In Chapter 56, when the family returns from Burger Barn, Gilbert and Larry hang out by and on the trampoline. Arnie is smashing anthills with a croquet mallet. The Grape women are inside the house. As Gilbert talks to Larry about the swing Larry built...
