Chapters 29 and 30 Summary
In Chapter 29, when Gilbert and Becky reach the boarded up school, Becky climbs in a window and tells Gilbert he has to say goodbye to the building. Becky tells Gilbert to write something on the chalkboard of each room. Gilbert writes on all of the boards, except for his second grade room. Becky tells Gilbert he skipped the room and encourages him to face it. Gilbert write what happened the day he peed in his chair, which is the same time that his father hung himself. Gilbert runs away from Becky after she reads it and locks himself in his room for the rest of the night.
