Summary
Three friends meet in a Soho apartment. Mickey is a talented painter and Louise is an old friend of his who has moved to the country but has returned to visit. Ellen is another painter with an important show the next day, and she is a devoted newer friend of Mickey’s. The three constantly discuss Edouardo, another old friend of Mickey and Louise’s, though Ellen has met him. Mickey and Louise reminisce about their time in Paris with Edouardo, while Ellen interjects with critical comments about him.
