Summary

The girls have been in Lansing for one month. Nia is frequently busy, and KB spends a decent amount of time with Charlotte and Bobby. It will be KB’s first birthday without her mom there. Her birthdays are always a disappointment, but her mom would always try to make them better. When Granddaddy asks KB where she wants to go, she says Pizza Land because then Nia cannot run away. Nia makes breakfast for KB but then goes off with friends. When Momma calls, she sings her special birthday song, and KB lies and tells her that Nia is in the bathroom.
