Summary
Sophie very much enjoys the Museum of Bad Art. She and Murphy then go to the aquarium on Central Wharf, to sketch fish. They invent names for the fish that swim by, and end up laughing hysterically. They then go to the Golden Palace in Chinatown to get pan-fried chicken dumplings, which is the favorite of them both. They feed squirrels, then go to the top of the John Hancock building, 740 feet up, to see Boston, and the sunset. But Sophie realizes that Murphy is watching her instead of the sunset. Walking to the bus stop, Sophie shivers, and Murphy puts his arm around her. Sophie realizes nothing else has ever felt right like that.
Sophie begins to wonder if she is attracted to Murphy. She wonders if he could be boyfriend material. Sophie dreams of the red-bearded man in Renoir’s painting...
