Robin hears footsteps and sees Sophie walk through the door. When Sophie sees the painting is gone, she starts to cry. Then, she notices Robin is there. Sophie hands Robin her sketchpad and pencil and they start to draw to make up with each other.

Pages 287-291 Analysis

Robin and Sophie make up. They continue to be boyfriend and girlfriend. This time, however, Robin goes into the relationship with the knowledge of what's it's like to be with someone else, which is something he didn't have before Tessa.
