Robin escorts the girls, Rachel and Sophie, into Mr. Schultz's art room so they can make up in private. When Shultz walks in and sees their t-shirts, he makes one of his own. After Rachel and Sophie make up, Rachel is always with Sophie and Robin, so they are getting to spend very time alone together.
Pages 183-195 Analysis
Ironically, all Robin has wanted is for Sophie to make up with her friends so that she'll be happy again. When Sophie and Rachel make up though, it seems as if Sophie is happier without Robin—as if she doesn't need him anymore. What's truly ironic is that Sophie being with Robin is what caused the split with her friends to begin with.
