Pages 78-90 Summary
As Robin is walking into the classroom, a short girl with wire-rimmed glasses recites lyrics from a Doors song that Robin identifies correctly. As the students start to introduce themselves, Robin feels as if he belongs in the classroom. For the first time, he is making people laugh because he is funny rather than having them laugh at him. The assignment in art class is drawing a naked female model, which is distracting Robin, giving him the inability to draw.
Pages 78-90 Analysis
Robin is ahead of his time. he feels more at home and comfortable with students that are older than him than he does with his own peers. The art class at Harvard represents a clean slate for Robin because it allows him to learn about who he really is without being ridiculed in the process.
