Pages 39-51 Summary
As Robin is walking home, he hears two kids on the playground saying, "Don't be such a Murphy!" The kids are using Robin's last name as an adjective to describe a loser. Robin remembers how using his last name as an insult started back in fourth grade when he first moved to the area. When Robin gets home, he tries sneaking past his parents so he doesn't have to tell them everything that happened today. Robin rushes through dinner so he doesn't have to make eye contact with his parents. Then he calls Sophie and they talk while she's taking a bath. Tuesday at school, Robin is in the library when he hears Sophie, Grace, and Rachel talking in the next aisle.
