Summary
In Chapter 3, Sierra describes the Airstream trailer in which she and her family live at the tree lot in California. Outside the window above her bed, a tree topples against the window. Andrew, a guy who had asked her out last Christmas, is the one responsible for knocking over the tree. She had told Andrew they could not date because of her parents’ unwritten rule.
Outside the door of the trailer, Sierra hears shoes scraping. Heather’s voice calls out. They hug each other. As Heather looks out the window, she mentions how good looking the ball players who are working at the lot are. Sierra knows better than to try to start a relationship with one of those guys.
