Summary

A father named Enebeli Okwara raises his (unnamed) daughter in Port Harcourt, Nigeria, while his (unnamed) wife pursues a business degree in America. Even though Enebeli’s daughter begins to get in trouble in her adolescence, for things such as passing notes to boys in school, Enebeli does not punish her. Rather, with his wife gone, he deeply values his daughter’s company as she grows and matures into an adult.

However, Enebeli’s wife disapproves of his parenting job. She insists that their daughter should be tightly disciplined.
