Structure
This book is divided into six parts that are then subdivided into chapters. The parts each explore a broad theme, such as feminism, idealism, and resilience. Each chapter draws on more specific examples and events related to this theme in order to illustrate Clinton’s views and arguments. Simultaneously, the book is arranged broadly chronologically. The thematic sections align with the different phases of Clinton’s life and campaign, including her decision to run, the primary and general elections, and the aftermath of her defeat. The text assumes some previous knowledge of the election and the relevant individuals, but does provide a fair amount of background information to the reader.
