The Press
The Press, also referred to as the media, is the general term that Clinton uses to describe news organization that covered the 2016 election. She repeatedly criticizes the press for its sensational coverage of her private email scandal, while ignoring the much larger threat of Russian interference in the election. She also notes that they rarely addressed questions of public policy.
The Children's Defense Fund
The Children’s Defense Fund is a non-profit organization that Clinton worked for before becoming First Lady of Arkansas. At CDF, Clinton learned the importance of patient, pragmatic work to bring about change in society.
Wellesley College
Wellesley College is an all-women’s college in Massachusetts and Clinton’s alma mater. Clinton was the first student ever to speak at a Wellesley graduation ceremony. She also notes that her years there, particularly her involvement with political activism, were formative experiences.
