Summary
Chapter 3 describes Secretary Clinton’s decision to run for President in 2016 and her early considerations about the campaign. Overall, Clinton decided to run because she thought she would be a good President. The decision, however, was not inevitable. Despite widespread speculation that she would run, she questioned whether it was the best decision. Hillary knew that it would be difficult to win a third consecutive Democratic term, particularly given that she would be the first woman President. Additionally, she enjoyed her work at the Clinton Foundation and giving paid speeches, as well as spending time with her daughter and granddaughter. Further, all of this would be scrutinized closely during a campaign.
