Summary

Chapter 5 starts with an article from the Wisconsin State Journal that details a fire that happened in June of 2021 at the Kincaid Farms Event Barn. The farm was the location of a “dance and awards ceremony” that got canceled when the barn was ruined (86). There was a minor who was on the premises trespassing, but the minor was uninjured. Principal Howe sends an email to parents saying that the fundraiser was a success, and there are requests to use some of the money for a winter dance since the students missed out on their spring one.

Anna interviews Rachel on her podcast. Rachel knows about the Northwestern application because Anna told Bee, and Bee shares everything with everyone. Rachel does not deny that she started the fire at the barn. Anna tells Rachel that she cares about what happened to Rachel because...
