Summary
Chapter 7
Alice talks about the few memories she has, including the one about someone saying there was no heartbeat. Elisabeth writes to Dr. Hodges, saying she was surprised and somewhat flattered that Alice remembered that out of everything that happened in the last ten years. She then goes on to write that at the time she wasn’t ready to talk about it to Alice, or anyone else for that matter, and that it was the start of things going downhill.
Meanwhile, Alice continues to ask Elisabeth questions. She’s very impressed that Elisabeth is teaching seminars and managing her own business. Elisabeth tells Alice how she got married to Ben, and Alice feels terrible that she can’t remember the wedding. Elisabeth keeps mentioning how busy Alice is, which frustrates Alice because she dislikes busy people. She gets the impression things are...
