Summary

In “Berkshire”, the guards at the prison arranged barbaric fights between the inmates for entertainment. When a guard named Ladybug saw Chunhui’s strength, he entered her into the fighting competition. When the fight began, Chunhui was scared. She broke the other inmate’s arm before fleeing the scene. In “Iron Mask”, Chunhui bit off Ladybug’s nose when he beat her. Later, he was fitted with an iron mask to cover the deformity. He promised Chunhui, “I’m not going to kill you. I’ll make sure nobody else kills you either. You’ll be begging to die” (294). Afterward, she was locked in a small cell and Ladybug continuously tortured her.

Iron Mask’s revenge ended when he died suddenly in “Royalty”. Chunhui was moved back to her original cell. In “Release from Prison”, the general signed a law that...
