Chapter 8 Summary
Abby and Ian enjoy their visit with Ian's parents, who pull together a Sunday roast on a Saturday, to show Abby this English tradition. Abby and Ian are both exhausted when they return to London, but James is in the lobby of Abby's dorm, waiting for her. Ian leaves Abby and James alone, and Abby takes James to a pub to talk. He accuses her of not talking to him, and she complains that he was fooling around with someone else the whole time he was with Abby.
James tells Abby that he was cheating because he was scared, because he cared about her more than he expected. Abby doesn't trust him though, and she tells him that London has changed her. She says that she likes who she is, now, and she says that Ian is boyfriend. The narrator says that ever...
