Summary
In Chapter 5, Andy and Jim head to a neighborhood called Prairie West where the houses get bigger the farther in they go. A few months after Andy left town, his dad retired and his mom renewed her contract with the radio station, and then they moved into this new house. She had sent Andy pictures, but they did not show the massive size of the two-story house with three-car garage and extremely large green yard. His grandpa’s Caddie is parked in the corner of the driveway.
As soon as Andy steps out of the Range Rover, a golf cart with a man who looks to be about his dad’s age stops in the middle of the street. He tells Jim that the music is a little loud, and Jim proceeds to turn up “The Safety Dance” by Men Without Hats instead...
