Summary
Part II, titled “Monday Morning in Lagos” (55) begins with Chapter 15. This chapter begins with a quotation from the Nigerian Journal (as do all chapters in Part II). The quotation describes a bustling bus station parking lot. Chike and the others, including Ifeoma, a.k.a Oma, the woman from the bus, arrived in Lagos. Oma thought about her husband, and then told Chike she would continue on with him and the others for a while before contacting her cousin who lived in the city. The group took Isoken home, but her parents were not there. They then got a hotel room together and Chike and Yęmi tried to make a plan for the future.
