Summary

As the presidential election comes to an end, Lizzie and everyone around her seem to sink into despair. Even Eli’s preschool friends talk about the election, as they make jokes about killing the president. Ben asks Lizzie if they should purchase a gun, and Lizzie feels that the social climate is now similar to that of 2009, after the September 11th terrorist attack.

Ben has the idea that he, Lizzie, and Eli should take a trip to Washington D.C. They visit many museums and speak of democracy, and Lizzie feels that the mood is a solemn one. They decide not to visit the Holocaust museum, which relieves Lizzie.

Sylvia also begins to break down, as she feels it becoming harder and harder to carry on with her podcast. Back at work, Lizzie sees one of her co-workers screaming at someone for not voting...
