Summary
Now that Paps was back, he wanted to be with the brothers all the time. He made dinner and then washed them in the tub as Ma got ready for work in the mirror. The boy noticed the differences in his parents, his mother so fragile and small next to his muscled father. Paps toweled them off, commenting on how big they had grown. The boys climbed back in the tub and hid behind the shower curtain, excitedly waiting for their parents to find them. But instead of looking for them, their parents began to kiss, pressed against the sink. It turned to moans, and the boy saw Paps pushing up against Ma, their hair mingled. Ma saw the boy staring, and wriggled away, protesting that she was late for work. Paps left to get her boots, and Ma joined the brothers in...
