Summary

The protagonist of “The Wolf in the Wild” is Wade McAdam, a very wealthy financial analyst who has been convicted of embezzlement. His has been sentenced to mandatory community service in Spokane, Washington. Part of his community service involves tutoring children at local public schools. One child he tutors is a seven-year-old boy named Drew. Drew spends every tutoring session by reading the same book aloud. It is a picture book called ‘The Wolf and the Wild,’ and it tells the story of a boy and a wolf who become friends. Wade meets Sonya, a female bartender in town. She is married, but they being to have a sexual relationship. Sonya soon feels guilty about being sexually unfaithful to her husband. Drew begins to become very invested in the tutoring...
