Summary
When Samra is twenty-four she gets a job as an editor for a car company's magazine. There she meets and connects with Abi who is her boss but soon becomes a good friend and mentor. Abi helps Samra develop her feminism, creativity, and personal strength. Abi happens to be a lesbian and gives Samra a window into a queer world [she] hadn’t yet explored," but where she feels she needs to be (124).
