We Gon’ Be Alright is a book of essays centered around the central themes of race and resegregation outlined in the subtitle. As a book of essays, each chapter can hypothetically stand alone as an individual piece. However, the interconnecting themes between them mean that reading all of the books essays together will give the reader a more well-rounded and nuanced perspective on the issues at hand. Each essay has a complete internal structure but they inform and enrich each other topically and thematically.
