Summary

In Chapter 28, when Walk learned Hal was dead, he was so angry that he did not talk to anyone for three days. He searched for proof that Darke was responsible, but could find nothing. The police believed the man who shot Hal was dead, that his body would probably never be found.

Walk arrived at Canyon View Baptist Church just before Hal’s funeral began. Robin cried, but Duchess held her head up. She paused only when she saw Walk. A boy sat behind her who put his hand on her shoulder. Duchess shrugged it off.
