Summary
Chapter Twenty-Seven, “Orion Oh” - In first-person, present-tense narration, Orion has a telephone conversation with Marissa, which reveals that she is living on the west coast. She has a recently renewed contract working on a soap opera, and is in a successful relationship with another actor. Marissa is also in the process of both therapy and recovery from alcoholism. Conversation also reveals that Orion is working on a book about the history of his Chinese family; that he has been having trouble keeping regular help in his current situation; and that Annie and Viveca are coming down the next day for the funeral of Mr. Agnello.
