Henry
Henry is an example of grief and how difficult it is for someone to overcome it without a solid support system. In fact, Henry spends most of the novel trying to help other people overcome their traumas because he convinces himself that his own pain does not matter anyway. However, it becomes very clear that Henry is drowning in despair and his attempts to push it off to what he imagines will be the end of the world is extreme denial. By the end, Henry starts to accept and move past his grief when he receives help from friends, family, and a therapist to help him process everything he was unable to. This shows how important it is for someone with emotions like Henry to seek out help to understand how to improve their lives again.
