Summary
Chapter 96
Eileen takes a vacation to the Furnace Creek Inn, a luxury resort in February. She goes with a group one night to the national park. She doesn’t need a guide to know that she is looking at the Milky Way. There were sailing stones in the park. How they moved “on their own” had never been explained. One of the tourists offered a theory. All Eileen could think of is how Ed would have enjoyed the experience and how he would never speak up unless he knew what he was saying was true.
Chapter 97
Eileen and Connell visit Ed’s grave on the first anniversary of his death. Connell picks up a bouquet on the way. Eileen says a prayer over his grave. She’s never been good at it so she asks Connell to help her. He expresses how he...
