Summary
Chapter 86
Ed is transferred at noon. Eileen drives to the home after work. Ed is in a wheelchair in the TV room with mainly old women and a few old men. He wails when he sees her. She takes him to a common room down the hall all the while he is moaning and wailing. In the common room, she tries to soothe him but he tries to bite her. She tells him that she will visit him every day. All he can say is, “No.” She tells him that he’ll just be there temporarily.
