Summary
Chapter 76
Even though Connell would be heading back to school, he stayed around for a while to help. He didn’t want to abandon his parents. He just couldn’t be the primary caregiver for his father. Eileen is jealous when Connell chooses to go to an old teacher to help him figure things out. That’s his father’s job. He reminds his mother that his father is not himself.
Mr. Corso had been his teacher and coach. He still can’t believe that Connell gave up baseball. He had such a great throwing arm. Connell tells Mr. Corso that he declared English as his major.
