Summary
Chapter 51
Eileen looks up the address of an old school mate who was from a wealthy family. She parks in front of the house and walks to the door. The school mate comes to the front yard from the back. Eileen starts to identify herself to the woman who doesn’t recognize her but decides against it. She asks her for directions and then leaves.
Chapter 52
Ed takes Connell on a drive through his old neighborhood for the third weekend in a row. He wants to show him everything before he forgets what it was. Connell is being very understanding. He’s missing a Halloween party to tour the old neighborhood with his father. Deep down Connell resents his father; Ed has never been a normal father.
