Summary

In Chapter 14, Jen gets into bed beside Kevin. He turned himself in that afternoon. His parents used their retirement money to bail him out of a night of jail. Jen advises him to take any deal the lawyers or police offer him. Kevin feels pressured to stay loyal to his partner, Cameron.

Jen visits Chase in the hospital one morning. He has one night left there before she can take him home. The nurse compliments Jen’s outfit. She is dressed for the trial.

Before the trial begins, Kevin’s lawyer Brice says he has faith Sabrina will offer them a deal. Kevin pleads not guilty. Jen heads to the bathroom, where she runs into Tamara. Tamara congratulates her on the baby. When Jen starts to apologize, Tamara interrupts her to say that Kevin should do the right thing.
