Summary

In Chapter 6, there have been riots in the city between two groups: the “BLACK LIVES MATTER” camp and the “ALL” lives matter one (114). Kevin started therapy. He views Riley’s interview of Tamara as a betrayal. Jen recalls his anger when she accepted the loan from Riley for the IVF that got her finally pregnant.

Jen has an appointment at the hospital. She goes alone, as no one is free to accompany her. Lou shows up, sent by Kevin. Lou looks at Jen’s file and spoils the fact that she is having a baby boy. Jen is furious at first, but soon clings to her baby boy Chase for hope. The doctor tells Jen her stress might be hurting the baby. An ultrasound is needed. Riley texts Jen to check in, but Jen feels annoyed with her.
