Summary

In Part 3, Chapter 16, Sam sees that someone added a section Clara Loomis’ Wikipedia page. The new section discusses Loomis’ endorsement of ideas that were precursors to eugenics. Sam then learns that MH has been accused by multiple people by some sort of abuse. However, everyone refuses to actually clarify the allegations to Sam. In Part 3, Chapter 17, Sam performs at a stand-up comedy open mic night. She speaks in a highly confessional way about her struggles with parenting and her relationship with Ally. Sam is then shocked to see that Ally is in the audience. Ally leaves, apparently furious. Sam sends Ally a text message, but Ally does not respond. That night, unable to sleep, Sam walks around her neighborhood. She witnesses a police officer shoot an unarmed Black child to death.
