Summary

Chapter 6 opens with Marc complaining that his summer is not going well. Marc feels jiu-jitsu class “had become miserable.” Marc also has a lawn mowing business called Marc's Meticulous Mowing. Marc enjoyed earning some extra money the previous summer, but he is now working every day. Marc tells Nathan and Kenny about his business. Danny listens with “a funny look on his face” (43). When Marc asks about Danny's summer, he says he spends most of his time with his older brother Anthony, who is 14. Marc concludes that Danny is “sitting around the house doing fun stuff with his brother” (44). Marc tells Uncle Jake he is overwhelmed by his situation.
