Part 1: Chapter 5 Summary

When Vince returns home, he learns that Banodyne, the company all the scientists worked for, suffered a fire. Vince knows this must be related to the project that prompted the deaths of all the scientists. Vince also suspects that the Russians are behind both the fire and the deaths. Vince wonders how much money he could get if he went to the American government with the information he now has. However, Vince does not believe that his knowledge alone is enough to get him what he wants. Vince knows he must have possession of the dog that is the center of the research project both scientists told him about.
